The Tessemae’s Foundation supports innovative approaches to solving the problems of access to good, common, nutritious food, as well as programs designed around the production and distribution of food that makes it available to those most in need.
The Red Wiggler Farm is an example of already-existing innovative programs that we have supported. We look to continue supporting innovative programs such as this one.
In the video below, you will see a highly innovative program designed to use a local, organic farm to teach autistic students how to maintain their own health through good nutrition, how to grow and market food, and secure eventual employment in the food industry. The Red Wiggler Farm in Montgomery County Maryland is dedicated to preparing autistic students for careers and employment in the organic and clean food sector.
